Advanced Freezer Room with Fire-Resistant Features

CGI Group, Cold Food Storage Ireland, specialises in distributing chilled and frozen goods to the Irish food industry through temperature-controlled warehousing and supply chain management. With over two decades of experience, CGI is recognised as a trusted provider of high-quality storage solutions. Their contemporary facilities in Dublin and Cork are strategically positioned for maximum efficiency, providing a cost-effective and reliable distribution path for shipments of all sizes from single cases to full loads. Aircold constructed a -20 degrees Celsius freezer cold room for CGI Group in Midleton, Cork, to meet increased capacity demands.

The 13.5-meter-high holding freezer extends the existing warehouse. A standout feature of this project is the sixty-minute fire-protected firewall, built with certified 200-mill fire-rated panels, including two fire-hinged doors, offering comprehensive sixty-minute fire protection. All panels, insulated personnel, and fire doors were supplied and installed by the Aircold team to the highest standards. Our expert installers also facilitated installing a state-of-the-art mobile racking system, maximising stock efficiency and storage within this new facility. Insulated Storage Solution with High-Reach Access

DHL, a global leader in logistics and express parcel delivery that plays a crucial role in international trade, has served over 220 countries and territories since 1969. As a reliable and innovative logistics partner, DHL excels in providing comprehensive services, including express shipping, freight transportation, supply chain solutions, and e-commerce logistics, and never compromises speed, reliability, and sustainability. Aircold were approached to provide a chill and lobby area for the DHL life sciences supply chain project at Quantum Logistics Park in Dublin.

Our provision of insulated panels, reaching 13 metres in height, ensured optimal storage capacity within the building. Additionally, we designed a seamless connection between the chiller cold room and the loading bays through the creation of a lobby area, facilitating DHL's certified cold chain supply operations. Furthermore, our installation of 6-meter-high automatic sliding doors enabled DHL to efficiently utilise their high-reach forklift for accessing the pallet racking. Insulated Panels & Cold Room Door Installation

Nippon Express, a renowned global logistics stalwart, specialises in air and ocean freight, warehousing, and supply chain management on a worldwide scale. Nippon Express brings efficient and comprehensive logistics solutions to facilitate international trade. With the remarkable growth in the pharmaceutical field and IT industry in Ireland, and many global companies having bases in Ireland, Nippon Express foresaw Ireland's increase in demand for logistics. It therefore established a new warehouse 'Contract Logistics Centre' in Dublin City in 2023.

Nippon Express required insulated panels and doors for a 2,052-square-metre controlled environment room (23 degrees) in their new logistics centre in Dublin. Given the project's emphasis on high-volume traffic efficiency, the Aircold team delivered robust insulated panels, and also tailored five personnel doors and one large rapid-rise door fitting the 5-metre-high cold room as the optimal solution and installed them efficiently.
